Why can’t I turn on the speakers?
To power on the Edifier bookshelf speakers, you can use either of the following methods:

Why can’t I connect my speakers via Bluetooth?
Confirm that your speaker is set to Bluetooth mode and disconnect any other paired devices.
Ensure that you are operating within a Bluetooth transmission range of no more than 10 meters.
Attempt to establish a Bluetooth connection with an alternative Bluetooth device.
I absolutely love these speakers. Let me provide context.
I have been a sound buff since my teen age years in the mid 70s. Over the years I went from vinyl all the way to streaming music. I have owned many different music listening devices, from full units with amp, equalizer, turn table with various brands of speaker (Koss, Cerwin, Bose) with and without subs to more restricting TV home theatre bog box store units. Finally, I am back to simplicity with these Édifier S300Pro. I have a turn table connected with RCA cables, a CD player with Coax and TV with Opt.
I have been testing these new speakers for 2 months. The sound is pure, crisp with excellent separation and, certainly no need for a sub. The base is surprisingly full, tight and clean. Lots of volume (more than I need). I am not an audiophile but I do know sound, and I am a stickler for good full sound. Last night I was listening to BB King (Riding with the King) on CD which is an a very well recorded piece and I was blown away - wow, the base, the clarity, the separation, unbelievable. I thought enough, time to write the review. I am very very pleased with my new speakers. They provide excellent flexibility with input. The BT is excellent. The sound is nothing short of professional.

Nine months later:
Normally I would not spend this much time to review a product but I felt that these speakers did deserve the attention. I feel each person’s ear is different so just saying these are great is pretty much meaningless unless I tell you what I want from speakers. I have a friend that is all about the bass and likes the boom boom boom from his subwoofer…a real cave man as far as I’m concerned and he should just put on a set of ear phones and blast his own eardrums. If you are looking to “feel” the bass from your speakers then keep shopping because you won’t be satisfied with these units. That said by buddy was here the other day and his first comment was “bass is pretty good”. I do like bass but my ear wants the low end to be smooth and mellow, not loud. I look for clarity in instruments and vocals and these speakers perform well with both of these. I was surprised at how well they perform given their size. I still miss my ADS L810 speakers driven by Harmon Kardon back in the day, but for price, size and performance I am very happy with these Edifiers. They have the depth and clarity this self-proclaimed audiophile demands from a system. I think I’m going to get a turntable and resurrect some of my half speed mastered vinal, where real music was pressed into reality. These were a good buy and exceeded my expectations, a pleasant surprise for my man cave. Oh, and the blue tooth connection works seamlessly with my phone, easy to set up and connect. Thank you, Edifier…you did good here.

Build is impeccable. Similli wood finish, very chic. A thin grill in front of the speaker which will not interfere with sound diffusion.
They are quite heavy, but then , this is prerequisite to good quality sound.
You will need the stands. These boxes are heafty; they do not really qualify as book shelf speakers.
My only grudge is with the Bluetooth connection. Probably not to be blamed on the speakers, rather on the BT standard. I am quite fed up with always tinkering with the BT clients and endlessly looking at a spinning hourglass.... This is not Edifier's fault, but they certainly are no exception
