J’utilise les enceintes Identifier R1280DBs depuis quelques semaines et elles dépassent largement mes attentes. La qualité sonore a vraiment un côté haut de gamme pour cette catégorie de prix. Les voix sont d’une clarté impressionnante, et la musique a une chaleur et un charme qui rendent l’écoute très agréable.
Elles sont branchées à mon PC, donc je les utilise aussi pour le gaming — et elles s’en sortent à merveille. Les effets sonores en jeu sont nets et immersifs, et les dialogues restent parfaitement clairs même dans les scènes d’action. Elles ajoutent une belle profondeur à l’expérience sans avoir besoin d’un système surround complet.
Que ce soit pour regarder des films, écouter des podcasts, jouer ou profiter de mes playlists, ces enceintes offrent toujours un son riche et engageant.

Incredible sound in a decently sized speaker, especially for on a desk.
I would add that extra star if the aux cord was at least 6’ long to be able to reach further. The computer is on the left side of the desk and the aux plugs into the right speaker. We’ve had to spend extra money to get another cord to accommodate the distance.
The sound quality was better than I expected, I read the reviews and saw certain reviews didn't like the way the speakers sounded but for me, listening to music, playing games its awesome for 200 dollars its steal. Great speakers.
As of today, Wed. Dec 14 I didn't have the time to even open the box and check it out !

The design and aesthetic of these speakers are absolutely stunning. The outer wood veneer is reminiscent of days when audio components were adorned with brushed aluminum faceplates.
But unfortunately, where these R1280DBs’ fell short is in their sound presence and delivery. To me, to my ears, they just didn’t have the punch and the oomph I was expecting 😞.
After reading and seeing a few decent online reviews, I bought them to replace an outgoing set from Logitech that stopped working after nearly 20 years of service.
I was expecting them to sound like the micro/mini systems of yesteryear. A sound akin to the wooden / mdf JVC speakers of that era. I wonder… should I have gone with a set of Edifier MR5s? I just took them out of the running as I didn’t see myself ever needing the xlr jacks.
I will be connecting their sub-out hoping this improves the situation.
I’ve been trying to return this unused item in an effort to buy a different set of Edifier speakers. Unfortunately the company has sent me a UPS shipping label with no return address printed on the label. UPS will not take it unless it’s printed on. And I’ve had no response from Edifier to correct this. Customer service needs to be more prompt and accurate
The size fits well on a bookshelf. Installation was straightforward. The remote control feels somewhat inexpensive, but I rarely use it beyond switching between line 1/2 and Bluetooth inputs.
These are beautiful great sounding speakers. However I am disappointed with the Bluetooth functionality. In order to switch between devices (Laptop, Smartphone) I have to "forget" and reconnect each time I switch from one device to another. Not the end of the world, but it does break the immersion. If you only plan to use this with a turntable or a singular Bluetooth device they are great, but if like most people in 2025 you have multiple Bluetooth devices you'd like to connect to, I'd recommend looking else ware.
Speakers in the wood finish look great and were easy to install. Bluetooth connectivity is straightforward and works well.
Audio quality is full and the 'live' mode on the remote is a nice touch for creating a more dynamic sound when the song fits.
Nice unit and arrived on time. Was an open box so it was accordingly. Easy to set up and connect via bluetooth. Sound is not the greatest but good enough for the price.

By themselves the sound is good, yet lack the richness you would get with lower frequencies. However, when I plugged in my Polk Audio subwoofer into them, they just lit up with full richness and the highs produces by these little speakers blended beautify. They are great for the price. Recommended.

The only caveat is that amazon firestick does not recognize any of the IR codes to control the speakers if connected to the TV, same goes with Google Chromecast. (This is not Edifier fault at all)
I puchased R1280DBs to use with my home computer. They were very easy to setup and east to connect with bluetooth. I did find that no other device can be actively connected to bluetooth when you are adding a new device. These speakers produce excellent sound and the remote is very handy. This pair is my second purchase. Very Pleased!!
I am generally pleased with the performance of these speakers. They have a rich lower frequency and good upper register. The only criticism I have is they have an intermittent glitch when listening to a tune like on Acuradio. It's a little annoyance but one that diminishes the listening experience. I have ruled out the source as the potential cause because I listen to it using other alternate audio listening sources ( desk top speakers and headphones') and do not encounter these glitches. I was going to contact the company but didn't anticipate they could provide any remedy unless this is a total anomaly. All in all good speakers.
