These bookshelf speakers were just what I was I looking for to complete a sound system for my basement. I have a relatively new Audio Technica AT-LP60 turntable that I have playing through a vintage (1979/80) Pioneer SX-550 stereo receiver. It was pretty easy to connect and it sounds great! A vintage receiver powering modern speakers. And the wood grain on the Edifier speakers pulls it all together aesthetically. Great sound, awesome look and an amazing price!

I first bought Edifier R980T, the sound quality was good but having controls for the speaker on the back made it near impossible to use the speakers for Auxiliary speakers for my Digital Audio Player. I decided to upgrade it to R1280T but while browsing I spotted R1280Ts with improved frequency response and more advanced Remote Control for 10 bucks more. They sound great and very simple to connect the DAP to the speakers to listen to music without the PC being on.

Nice speakers at a good price. I do not want bluetooth so I had to go for the ''cheaper'' model but I like it. They are flexible for connections options and the sound quality whislt not mindblowing is good enough.
